• How many guests can the house accommodate?
  South Palms sleeps 12 people comfortably, with 3 master suites, 2 twin rooms and a sofa bed if required. The maximum occupancy is 12, plus an infant.
  
  
• Help finding Flights / Car hire / Park Tickets / Travel Insurance
  We visit our home as often as we can and have spent many a long hour searching for the best prices and company's to provide car hire, flights and tickets. We now have some very good companies that can provide all your holiday extras at excellent prices, for both European and US guests. Please ask us for details and we will be happy to help.
  
  
• Are smoking or pets allowed?
  For the comfort and safety of all guests, smoking is strictly prohibited inside the home, but is permitted on the deck.
  Ashtrays are provided. Sorry no pets are allowed.
  
  
• How far away are the Theme Parks? 
  South Palms is only 10 - 15 minutes from Walt Disney World. Sea World and Universal are only 20 - 25 minutes. We are near enough to the attractions to allow you to come home in the afternoon for a swim, or a nap, and return to the parks for the fireworks, but set amid idyllic surroundings to allow you to you relax away from all the hustle and bustle.
  
  
• Which direction does the pool face?
  South Palms has a south facing pool giving all day sunshine. Whilst this is largely unimportant during the summer months, it means during the winter months you will still get all day sun on the pool and deck area.
  
  
• How do we find South Palms
  Directions will be sent to you 2-3 weeks before arrival. Driving in Orlando is a breeze, the roads are wide and well sign posted. Our home is easily reached on mostly main roads from the airports. On arrival you will be able to use your unique code to access the key. No need to traipse to an office miles away.
  
  
• What do we need to bring with us?
  Just yourself and your own personal items. Bed linen, towels and pool towels are provided. Beach towels are provided for you to use either at the beach or the water parks. We even provide bath robes in the King Master suite. We have tried to think of everything you will need during your vacation. If there is anything you require for your vacation please ask, as it may already be there.
  
  
• Do you cater for children?
  With young grandchildren ourselves, South Palms is well equipped for our younger guests. Our home comes complete with a crib/cot and bedding, high chair and stroller. There is also child friendly dinnerware and cutlery.
  
  
• What entertainment is provided?
  There is an array of board games, a library of books, PS2 with dual controllers and games, and a vast selection of DVD's/VCR tapes.
  There are cable TV's in all bedrooms as well as a 50" Plasma HDTV with theatre surround sound & DVD player in the family room. The upstairs Den has a TV, DVD and PS2
  There is also a Stereo system and a portable CD player with a huge choice of music CD's.
  
  
• Is the pool heated?
  Yes, pool heating can be provided at any time of the year, but is recommended between October and April. There is a separate charge for this as shown on the rates page.
  
  
• What services are provided?
  The house is professionally cleaned prior to your arrival and the pool and garden are maintained weekly. A mid-term clean is also available for a local charge. A welcome pack can also be arranged if required, please ask for details. You can also arrange for a full size crib and bedding to be placed in the room of your choice.
  
  
• What is there nearby for shoppers?
  Next to visiting the Theme Parks, shopping comes a very close second and with so many malls you may run out of time on one visit. There are numerous Outlet Malls selling designer labels at vastly reduced prices.
  
  
• What about Golf courses?
  Florida is one of the top golfing destinations in the world. With it's year round ambient weather and some of the USA's top courses in the Orlando area, you will always be able to find a new course every day if you choose. The world famous Champions Gate courses are on your doorstep. 2 Greg Norman designed courses and the world headquarters of the David Leadbetter Golf Academy to brush up your game.
  
  
• How far to the nearest restaurant?
  You really are spoilt for choice with the variety of restaurants within a few minutes of South Palms. For convenience Champions Gate is a mere 3 minutes away. There are the usual McDonald's and Subway fast food restaurants, as well as Chinese, French and Italian, which all deliver to the house.
  
  A little further away (8minutes) you reach the 192 with more eateries than you can shake a chopstick at. Every fast food, chain restaurant and all you can eat buffet can be found here. Fine dining can also be found a little further afield.
  
  
• Are there any medical services nearby?
  Hopefully you will not need this, but for everyday minor accidents there is a Walgreen's pharmacy 3 minutes away at Champions Gate and a walk in medical centre. Details and phone numbers are all in the house folder.
  
  
• What if we need more than one home?
  We know many other owners on Windwood Bay and will be happy to help you find extra accommodation if needed.
  
  
• Who do we contact for questions/emergencies?
  We have employed an excellent local management company to look after your every need. There is a Management Company folder in the home with contact numbers, along with local information regarding trash collection, using the telephone and any other household questions you may have. The folder also contains information on tourist attractions.
  
  
• Are there any extra charges for anything in the home?
  The only extra we charge for is pool heat. We have provided everything we can think of to make your vacation as memorable as possible but we are always open to new idea's and suggestions.
  
  
• How do we book?
  Sending an enquiry here is the easiest way but you can also phone us. If you prefer us to call you, just drop us an email and we will call back at a time convenient to you.
